Help Inspire Others with Your Survival Story
Your story could impact someone else's life in ways you never thought possible. The Christ Over Cancer ministry is always looking for stories of how God has helped, or is helping, others deal with cancer and maintain hope. Are you someone who has a story to tell? Do you know someone else who has a survivor story?
If you would like to share a story, please contact us. If you choose to send it online, please send it in a Microsoft Word or plain text format (Notepad).
Please be aware that once you send your stories to us, you are authorizing us to use your story in any form of media we so choose and that you will not receive any form of compensation for the use of your story. We never release the names of those that submit stories, so your story would be anonymous. By sending us your story for us, you also give us permission to make changes to the story if necessary. Also, please be aware that we may or may not be able to use your story.
To help you write your story, we have provided the following guiding questions:
- What were your first thoughts when you heard the "cancer" diagnosis? In other words, what scared you the most?
- What type of treatment did you take and where did you take your treatment?
- What helped you to endure the treatment process, i.e. what was your focus?
- How did God help you during your battle with cancer? In other words, in what ways could you see him working in your life?
- Can you look at your battle with cancer and see something positive that came from it? Did God use your battle to accomplish something for the good?
- How are you today physically? Are you in remission? If so, how long in remission? Do you still have physical problems from the battle and how do you deal with them?
- How do you cope mentally as a cancer survivor?
- Has cancer changed the way you live your life today? If so, in what way?
- What would be your advice to someone newly diagnosed with cancer?
